5 minutes with our Inspiring parent Jennifer März

Name: Jennifer März
Does: Photographer
Lives: In Bülach, close to Zürich
Family: My beloved husband, my daughter Hannah and our Spanish dog Tara

My favourite kidswear brands:  Play Up & Konges Slojd

This thing that my kids wore I would never part with: her first outfit when we left the hospital. There are just too many emotions attached to these pieces.

One of my pro tips for keeping the kids entertained (even if just for 5mins) : please tell me, because I honestly don’t know... LOL... Which is totally fine because I am pretty sure I will miss this attachment in a few years…

"Knowing that my pictures will be seen in a few decades and will tell the stories of the people in it, is the most beautiful part of my work."

Besides my kids, my passion is anything inspiring such as traveling, books and roaming through the city with my phone or camera.

What surprised me most about being a parent is how very emotional every tiny step of the way on this motherhood journey can be.

My favourite thing to give as a gift is time & love. But I do love to give flowers or a pretty candle.

My photography style is airy, light and full of love.

What I’d like to express with my work as a photographer I want to show the beauty of life and to capture these precious moments forever. Knowing that my pictures will be seen in a few decades and will tell the stories of the people in it, is the most beautiful part of my work.

"My secret for juggling running a business and family is chocolate. Lots and lots of chocolate..."

My secret for juggling running a business and family is chocolate. Lots and lots of chocolate...haha.

My perfect day must include sleep, good food and warm temperatures so that I can wear a dress and sandals.

I’ve decided to sell my kids clothes because I love the idea of passing on our beloved pieces to a new home and a new child to accompany them on their journey.

A place I can’t wait to visit (again) oh this is a tough one. Too many places, too little time. Normally every year we fly to a tiny little family owned finca with lots of animals in Mallorca. And then I would love to discover Portugal, take a walk through Bryant Park in NYC and eat my favourite falafel there and last but not least experience a sunrise in Tulum, Mexico. Aaaaand showing our daughter all the wild animals on a safari in some years. Oh boy! I can't wait till this pandemic is over!

My best book/podcast/series/movie tip right now: a hard one too since I fell asleep early and hardly watch or read anything in the evening.

Favourite pieces I’m eyeing right now at Ingrid & Emil are I am a huge lover of everything without pattern or prints and comfortable clothes made of good, qualitative fabrics. Oh and I cannot get enough of bloomers for our little one in summer. So this is a must have for me right now!
